Insider tip: hire bikes from Ride Brooklyn Williamsberg for your entire trip and hop over the bridges to Manhatten. Not only will you get to see the whole city in all it's glory, you can stop off anywhere you like easily just follow the one way systems. Trust us, the traffic is not that bad if you stick to the bike lanes.

Shillers Liquor Bar http://www.schillersny.com/index.php Great, either for brunch at weekend or dinner in eve - usually need to reserve

 

Greenwich Village:

 

Corner bistro 331 West 4th St at Jane St. Best cheap dirty burger. So popular you might need to queue but worth it.

 

Burger Joint 33 West 8th St at MacDougal. 119 West 56th St Btw 6th & 7th Ave.

 

 

Lombardi’s Pizza 32 Spring Street on corner of Mott Street Huge huge pizzas, casual but lovely.

 

Katz’s Deli 205 E. Houston St (Ludlow Street) The famous deli. Amazing Ruben sandwiches.

 

Locanda Verde 377 Greenwich St., at N. Moore St. Good bakery (owned by Robert De Nero) 

 

DBGB Kitchen and Bar 299 Bowery (Btwn Houston and 1st St) Tel :212.933.5300 Big swish interior but pricy American food

 

Pegu Club 77 W Houston St (at West Broadway ) Best cocktail bar, feels old colonial. Original Old Cubans.

Stumptown coffee West 8th Street Btw 5th & 6th Ave. Top coffee. Café Rocco La Fayette Street Hazelnut cappacinos- old school interior.

 

Grey Dog Cafe 33 Carmine Street btw Bleecker and Bedford Lovely, has dogs outside.

 

Prune 54 East 1st Street, Tel: 2126776221. Best place for either brunch or dinner in NY. Tiny but perfectly formed so need to book. (My fav in Manhattan)

 

Clinton Street Bakery Clinton Street, near Williamsberg Bridge Best breakfast in town – pancakes insane.

Diner 85 Broadway on corner of Broadway and Berry (over Williamsberg bridge) Great food and atmosphere – (my fav.) Pullman Car under bridge – beautiful/cool. You must go!

 

Hotel Delmano 82 Berry St & North 9th St, Nr Williamsberg bridge Lovely Bar/Cocktails. (BQE Metropolitan Ave – Subway)

 

Roebling Tearoom Williamsberg Good burgers Egg North 3rd St, (L to Bedford Ave – Subway) Stylish brunch place – a must. Marlow & Son’s 81 Broadway Btw Berry & Wythe (L to Bedford Ave – Subway) Sister restaurant to Roman’s Roman’s 243 Dekalb Ave Btw Vanderbilt & Clermont, Fort Green area. (C to Lafayette – Subway)

 

 

BrisketTown 359 Bedford Ave, btw South 4th and 5th, Williamsberg. Superb meats on every level and lovely people serving. Brooklyn Brewery They do great open air events every fri/sat from 6pm.
